Carpenters - Qualified Tradesman & Apprentice Positions

About the role

Stevens Group is seeking motivated Carpenters (one Tradesman or 3^rd or 4^th year Apprentice and one
1^st year apprentice) to join our First Fix Carpentry team, working on residential framing projects across
Adelaide and surrounding areas.

This is a full-time opportunity where you’ll gain hands-on experience, be mentored by highly skilled
carpenters, and learn the foundations of a long-term career in construction.

Our First Fix Carpentry team works exclusively with timber, focusing on the installation of structural
elements such as stud walls, floor trusses, roof trusses, timber flooring for both single- and two-storey
dwellings, window installation.

Key Details:

• Full-time position
• Standard hours: 7.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, Saturday work as required
• Work involves building frames for new residential homes (walls, roofs, and everything in between)
• Projects are located across Adelaide (inner suburbs, outer north/south, Adelaide Hills, etc.) – locations vary frequently

What you'll be doing

• First fix carpentry duties such as framing for various major builders across SA
• Read and interpret architectural plans and building specifications
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Assist senior carpenters with onsite duties daily (apprentice)
• Provide leading hand support with day-to-day onsite duties (tradesman)
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What We're Looking For

1st Year Apprentice with licence (must be eligible to enter an official Australian apprenticeship – applicants on visas or job-ready programs are ineligible)

• 3^rd or 4^th year Apprentice with licence (must be eligible to enter an official Australian apprenticeship – applicants on visas or job-ready programs are ineligible)
• Commitment to completing a carpentry apprenticeship

Qualified Tradesman

• Genuine passion for carpentry and construction
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to learning
• Safety-conscious with a positive team attitude
• White Card (required, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
• Driver’s licence and own vehicle (essential – job sites vary daily)

• Rates: $36-40/hr
