Over the past couple of months, Stevens Group has taken an active role in supporting local high
school career expos and events, sharing insights into the structural steel industry and fostering
connections with the next generation of professionals.

Our team began by attending the Parafield Gardens High School 2025 Careers Expo, a well-
organised event welcoming over 1,200 students from Years 7 to 12. It was a fantastic opportunity for
young people to explore industries and pathways they might not have previously considered. We were
proud to represent the structural steel sector and highlight the exciting career opportunities it offers.

At Southern Vales Christian College Careers Night, the Thomas More College Career Expo, and
the St Paul’s College Career & Subject Expo, our team engaged with enthusiastic students and
parents, discussing the wide range of career pathways and opportunities within structural steel and
construction. These events provided valuable opportunities to share insights about the skills and
passion needed to succeed in the industry, answer questions, and inspire the next generation to
consider a career in this dynamic field.

We also took part in Hope Christian College’s two-day career event focused on non-university
pathways for Years 10 to 12. We emphasised the value of real-world work experience – not only for
skill development but also for helping students gain clarity and direction.

The Mark Oliphant College Careers Expo attracted around 800 students eager to learn about
careers in steel, from workshop roles to worksite positions. It was a well-run event, and we are
grateful to the organisers for the opportunity.

At Stevens Group, we believe in staying connected with schools and communities by providing
pathways through work experience and apprenticeships. Supporting young people to find their footing
in the workforce is a responsibility we take seriously, and we look forward to continuing these valuable
partnerships.
