Stevens Group recently had the pleasure of hosting two separate groups of students from The Heights Technical College for site visits, further strengthening an already valuable partnership between education and industry.

During the first visit, Year 10 students were welcomed to Stevens Group for an engaging introduction to the business. Students explored the company’s capabilities, learned about work experience and apprenticeship opportunities, and gained insight into the wide range of career pathways available within the industry. Stevens Group continues to build meaningful connections with the college, supporting early exposure to real-world career options.

A second visit saw Year 11 students attend the site, with a stronger focus on career pathways into metal fabrication. Students were given the opportunity to learn more about the trade, including the skills required and the routes into apprenticeships. There was strong interest from the group, particularly among those considering a future as boilermakers, highlighting the importance of hands-on industry engagement at this stage of their education.

As a Supporting Partner of The Heights Technical College, Stevens Group is proud to play an active role in bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical industry experience. By providing students with direct exposure to manufacturing and fabrication environments, the company aims to help them make informed decisions about their future careers.

Stevens Group looks forward to continuing this growing partnership and supporting the next generation as they take their first steps into rewarding careers in the industry.
