Gable House

A big thank you to Nest Built for nominating our Stevens Group team member Alex Dienhoff as the trade contractor for the Gable House project in the 2026 SA Master Builders Excellence Awards.

While the project didn’t take home an award, the quality, craftsmanship and effort that went into delivering it are certainly worth celebrating.

With 1.5 tonnes of structural steel, approximately 20 hours of drafting, and challenging logistics through a narrow laneway, the project required careful planning and precise site measuring.

Our drafter Peta Grant played an important role in the drafting process, while Eddy Sordillo carried out the site measuring, ensuring the new steel matched the existing structure and integrated seamlessly with the new design. One of the standout features was the steep rakes, carefully designed to match the existing timber structure and flow naturally into the new extension.
